Gary H. “Turtle” Lytle, age 41 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday morning, September 9, 2009 in the Davis Memorial Emergency Department. He was born January 15, 1968 in Elkins a son of the late George E. Lytle and Janet White Lytle who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is a sister, Carolene Lytle, Elkins, aunt and uncle, Ed and Julia Varner, Elkins, special friends, Chad Arbogast and Terry Seibert
and friends from the Riverside and the Frosty Mug.
Gary attended the schools of Randolph County and was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. He had been employed as a carpenter.
Friends may call from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM Monday, September 14, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Monday, September 14th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Walter Ellison officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Airport Road where full military rites will be accorded at the gravesite by members of H. W Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars . In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to a charity of choice in memory of Gary.
