Anita Charm Arbogast, age 72 years, a resident of Beverly, passed away at 1:16 A.M. Thursday, September 17, 2009 in the Monongalia General Hospital at Morgantown. She was born January 30, 1937 at Cassity, a daughter of the late Nathan Goff and Blanche Ada Smith Wratchford. On April 3, 1954, she married Robert Lee Arbogast who survives. Also surviving are three sons, David & wife Patty Arbogast, Ronald & wife Juanita Arbogast and Timothy Arbogast, all of Beverly. Two daughters, Cindy Arbogast and Mrs. Jason (Catherine) Lanham, of Beverly. One brother, Orvid “Bub” Wratchford of Mill Creek and two sisters, Lorena Bennett of Beverly and Sally Fischer of Fredericksburg, VA. Also surviving are seven granddaughters, Jacklynn Pudder, Michelle and Amy Arbogast, Alexandria Roberts, Chelsea and Megan Weese and Hailey Lanham. Also preceding her in death were one son, Raymond Goff Arbogast; one brother, John Quinton Wratchford; and four sisters, Thora Pritt, Marietta Bennett, Clarietta Riffle and Wilda Ruth Wratchford. Mrs. Arbogast had worked as a Nurses Aid having retired from Nella’s Nursing Home. She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints of Elkins.
Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. On Monday morning, September 21, 2009, Mrs. Arbogast will be moved to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where friends may call from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM the funeral hour. Elder Ralph Bennett will officiate and interment will follow in the Hazelwood Cemetery near Beverly. The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, c/o Bishop Paul David Huffman, P.O. Box 157, Valley Bend, WV 26293 in memory of Mrs. Arbogast. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Anita Charm Arbogast.
