Louise M. Hutton, age 94 years, a former resident of Elkins, and a resident of Charleston, WV, passed away Friday morning, September 18, 2009 in Heartland of Charleston. She was born October 7, 1914 at Huttonsville, a daughter of the late Charles Sidney Hutton and the late Rebecca Ellen Ligget Hutton. She had never married. Surviving is one brother, James Alfred Hutton and wife Mary Louise, St. Albans, WV, one sister, Leigh Ann Wood, Baltimore, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Henry C. Hutton and one sister, Marian Hutton Covey.
Ms. Hutton enjoyed a long and distinguished career in nursing prior to her retirement. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Friends may call from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Monday, September 21, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Monday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Dr. Marvin L. Parli officiating. Interment will follow in the Brick Church Cemetery near Huttonsville.
The family asks the flowers be omitted and memorial contributions be made to the Daughters of the American Revolution, Chapter 21, PO Box 625 Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Ms. Hutton.
