Russell V. Arbogast, Jr. age 72 years, a resident of Harman, passed away Saturday afternoon, October 24, 2009 at his home. He was born November 11, 1936 at Harman a son of the late Russell V. Arbogast and the late Alda Christine Waybright Arbogast. On June 18, 1979 he was married to Vera Jean Wolford Arbogast who survives at Harman. Also surviving are one son, Randall Arbogast and wife Sandra, Elkins, one step son, David Bennett and wife Grace, Onego, and one step daughter Jennie Raines and husband Jerry, Harman. Also surviving are one sister, Delphia Mick and husband William, Harman, two grandchildren, three step grandchildren, two nieces, one nephew and one great nephew also survive. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Ray Arbogast, one step granddaughter, Danielle Raines and a great nephew Mathew Wilbert.
Mr. Arbogast was a graduate of Harman High School and was employed as a Salesman and Field Representative for Roy's Home Sales prior to his retirement. He was a member of Elkins Lodge No. 108 A.F. & A.M., The Scottish Rite and the Osiris Shrine of Wheeling and attended the Harman Presbyterian Church.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday, October 26, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 27th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Rick Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in the North Fork Memorial Cemetery at Riverton, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1600 Crim Ave., Belington, WV 26250 in memory of Mr. Arbogast.
