Howard J. Hamrick, age 77 years, a resident of Valley Head, passed away Wednesday evening, December 9, 2009 in the Davis Memorial Hospital. He was born January 24, 1932 at Denver, Colorado a son of the late Walker and Carie Williams Hamrick. He was married to Dorothy Williams Hamrick who survives at Valley Head. Also surviving is one step son, Joe Stiner, Cleveland, OH, one step daughter, Sharon Poultney, Cleveland, OH and four step grandchildren. Also preceding him in death were four brothers and one sister.
Mr. Hamrick was a Veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving in Korea and was employed for many years by Lampson-Session Corporation of Cleveland, OH. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Friends may call from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday, December 11, 2009 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 12th from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eddie Kyle officiating. Interment will follow in the Valley Head Cemetery.
