Geneva Mae Hogan, 68, of Hurricane passed away Thursday, January 21, 2010, at her residence.
She was born June 5, 1941, in South Charleston, a daughter of the late Frederick and Belva Raines Snyder. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Hogan; and sister, Eleanor Cole.
She is survived by children, Eric B. Jones of Hurricane, Melissa Davis and husband Gary of Orlando, FL, Vera Standish of Hurricane, Gayle Tipper and husband Larry of Wilmington, NC, Lee Hogan of Hurricane, Rae Anne Blair and husband Jerry of Clarksburg; sisters, Shirley Kelley of Hurricane, Linda Sue Moore of St. Albans, Alice Molnar of Winfield; brothers, Fred F. Snyder, Jr. of Hurricane, and James Snyder of Sissonville; grandchildren, Wesley Allison, Leigh Anne Allison, Amanda Standish Gianola, Ashley Standish; great-grandchildren, Raegan Standish and John Standish Gianola.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Monday, January 25, 2010 at Chapman Funeral Home, 3941 Teays Valley Road, Hurricane. A service of remembrance will be held at 7 p.m. A Graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Hevener Cemetery, Monterville, with Pastor Toney Stowers officiating.
