Dwight Woodrow Lambert Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Mr. Dwight Woodrow Lambert, age 84 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in the West Virginia Caring Hospice Center in Elkins. He was born January 18, 1938 at Onego, WV a son of the late Curtis Lambert and the late Gae Raines Lambert. On July 6, 1985 at Oakland, MD, he was married to Wilma L. Bennett Lambert who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are two daughters, Tonia Purkoski, Laurel, Md, Sonia Hose, Broadway, VA and a step-daughter, Anita Barrick of Kerens, WV. Two brothers, David Lambert, Mt. Sidney, VA and Anthony Lambert of Onego, WV; three sisters, Shirley Sites, Seneca Rocks, WV, Brenda Vance, Petersburg, WV and Vickie Colaw, Cherry Grove, WV; four grand-children and three great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding him in death was one brother, Charles Lambert. Dwight attended the schools of Pendleton County and graduated from Circleville High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed for many years by Cupp’s Furniture prior to his retirement and attended the Nazarene Church. Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. Monday, June 6, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Mountain State Memorial Gardens near Gilman. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Mr. Dwight Woodrow Lambert.
