Harriet C. Wiseman Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Harriet “Tippie” Wiseman, age 81 years, a resident of Mabie, passed away Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at Mountain Memories Assisted Living & Retirement Center of Elkins. She was born, October 16, 1940 at Valley Bend, a daughter of the late Edward F. and Mable McGee George. She was married to Dorsey E. Wiseman who preceded her in death July 26, 2007. She is survived by one son, Timothy Lynn Wiseman and wife Anita of Mabie; two daughters, Kimberly Doreen Underwood and significant other David Nicholas of Newton Falls, OH and Cheryl Lea Town of Tampa, FL. Three brothers, Edward “Jr.” George of Cassity, Everett George of Mabie and Donald George of Buckhannon, WV and two sisters, Margaret Johnson of Maumee, OH and Wanda Watson of Southington, OH. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Elizabeth Anne Currence and husband Joshua, Forrest Alan Bradford Town, Tomithia Christine Kissling and husband Kyle, Abbey Marie Will and husband Gage, Benjamin Edward Wiseman and Alexis Noell Wiseman and nine great grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was one son, Benjamin David Wiseman; two brothers, Rev. Ronald George and Thomas George and one sister, Phyllis Zirkle. Tippie had worked as a custodian for the Champion Local School District in Trumbull County, OH prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Harrison Community Church in Mabie and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren tremendously. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Glen Rader officiating. Interment will follow in the Rowan Memorial Cemetery near Mabie.
