Isa Elaine Bailey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Isa Elaine Bailey, age 89 years, a resident of Tallmansville, WV passed away Sunday, May 15, 2022 at Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center in Elkins. She was born February 25, 1933 at Tallmansville, WV, a daughter of the late Glen and Edith Tomblyn Glass. On May 23, 1951 at Harding, WV, she was married to Billy Richard Bailey who preceded her in death February 6, 2012. Elaine is survived by two children, Allen Bailey and wife Susan of Fairmont, WV and Carrie Turner and husband John of Baltimore, MD. One sister, Jean McMurtrie and husband Hudson of Orlando, FL. and several nieces and nephews also survive. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Harold Glen Bailey and one brother, Robert Glass. Elaine was a graduate of Buckhannon Upshur High School. She was employed by Dr Koay in Fairmont, WV prior to her retirement and was an EMT for the Marion County Rescue Squad. She was a member of the Tallmansville Baptist Church, the Homemakers Club and Pythian Sisters. Elaine was a wonderful cook who enjoyed having family and friends visit, playing Rook and hosting family reunions at her home. Her family would like to extend their appreciation to the Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center for the wonderful care she received while a resident there. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Thursday, May 19, 2022 at the Tallmansville Baptist Church at Tallmansville, WV. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday from the church with Rev. Tim Lewis officiating. Interment will follow in the Bailey Cemetery at Bailey Ridge, WV. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Elkins Rehabilitation & Care Center Activity Fund, 1175 Beverly Pike, Elkins, WV 26241 or Old Brick Playhouse, P. O. Box 2716, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Elaine. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Isa Elaine Bailey.
