Janet Delores Wright Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Janet Delores Wright, age 80 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2022 in the Davis Medical Center in Elkins. She was born January 28, 1942 a daughter of the late James Otis Clayton and Ocie Clayton. She was formerly married to the late Wesley A. Hamrick and was later married to Ronald J. White who preceded her in death in 2001. On February 3, 2007 in Jimtown, WV, she was married to Daniel G. Wright who survives. Also surviving is one son, Paul Hamrick of Medina, OH; three step-sons, Jay White of Moorefield, WV, Michael White of PA and Andrew White of Indianapolis, IN; two step-daughters, Shellie Waybright of Elkins and Pam Crites Smith of Richmond, VA. Four brothers, Ronnie, Tommy and Stanley Clayton, all of Webster Springs, WV and Roger Clayton of Lodi, OH; two sisters, Debbie Knight of Webster Springs, WV and Mary Wilson of Flatwoods, WV. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding her in death was one brother, Floyd Clayton; two step-sons, Tim White and Dale Wright and one step-daughter, Michelle White Brown. Janet was a graduate of Webster Springs High School with the Class of 1959. She was a homemaker and a member of the Landmark Baptist Church. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Tuesday with Dr. Ken Shiflet officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV. Memorial contributions may be made to Landmark Baptist Church, Ron Davis Missionary Trip, 7 Forest Brook Drive, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Wright.
