Kenneth Marshall "Kenny" Lloyd

July 5, 1938 - April 19, 2022

Kenneth Marshall “Kenny” Lloyd, age 83 years, a resident of the Kings Run Community, Beverly, passed away Tuesday morning, April 19, 2022 at Mountain Memories Assisted Living & Retirement Center under the care of West Virginia Caring Hospice. He was born July 5, 1938 in Elkins a son of the late Oval Guy Lloyd and the late Elfa Lorena Mouse Lloyd. Surviving is a son, Kenneth Marshall Lloyd, II of Beverly. One daughter, Kenna Lloyd Barger and husband, Shelton of Beverly; two sisters, Dixie Bowers of Flint, MI and Lorene “Bootsie” Bunner of Elkins also survive. Also preceding him in death was one son, Kassen Michael Lloyd and one brother, Robert “Bob” Lloyd. The greatest joy of his life was spending time with his grandchildren, Lukas Barger, Linkoln Barger, Legacy Skout Barger Short, Kapri Lloyd and Meshae Rowan. Kenny graduated Elkins High School with the Class of 1956 and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a Dental Technician and co-owner of the Elkins Dental Lab with Dick Lothes for over fifty years. He was a member of the National Dental Technician Association, the American Legion, and was a volunteer for the Elkins Little League, serving as past commissioner of the Minor League. Kenny loved hunting, fishing, walking through the woods and enjoying the outdoors. He attended the Alliance Community Fellowship at Gilman. Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, April 22, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 23, 2022 from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mark Epperson and Pastor Darrell Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road where full military honors will be accorded at the gravesite by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, H.W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Kenneth Marshall “Kenny” Lloyd.
