Lola Mae Bell Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lola Mae Smith Bell, age 76 years, passed away March 14, 2016 at the Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center in Elkins. Lola was born July 21, 1939 in Johnstown, PA, a daughter of the late Basil W. Smith and Anna E. Ressler Smith Davis. On May 24, 1975 she married Michael I. Bell who survives in Elkins. Also surviving are three sons, Harry L. Lambert, Jr., James E. Lambert and Michael I. Bell, Jr. all of Elkins; four daughters, Barbara A. McSpadden, Junior, WV, Pamela J. Currence, Elkins, Veronica R. Bell, Martinsburg, WV and Jacqueline M. Ramsey, Elkins. Six brothers, William Smith, Richwood, WV, Daniel Smith, Elkins, WV, Charles Smith, Norton, WV, Bradley Smith, Norton, WV, David Smith and John Smith both of Elkins, WV; four sisters, Helen Guire, Mabie, WV Sandra Bell, Elkins, WV, Mary C. Dixon, Belington, WV and Linda Richards, Hodgesville, WV, fourteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren and a special care-giver, Kimberly Bennett also survive. Also preceding her in death were two sisters, Judith Bell and Charlene Smith and one brother Ronald Smith and a grandson, Christopher McSpadden. Mrs. Bell was employed as a seamstress at Reidbord Brothers and was employed as a Coal Miner at Bethlehem Mines prior to her retirement. She was a member of the former Dunkard Brethren Church. Friends may call from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Thursday, March 17, 2016 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Friday, March 18th from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Terry Burgess officiating. Interment will follow in the Bell Cemetery at Kelly Mountain. Memorial contributions may be made to the Central West Virginia Dialysis Patients Fund, 100 Main Street, Elkins, WV 26241 in memory of Mrs. Bell.
