Luella E. Hart, age 92 years, a former resident of the Hazelwood Community and a resident of the I.O.O.F. Home in Elkins, passed away Saturday morning, January 18, 2020 at the home. She was born December 28, 1927 at Wymer, a daughter of the late Harry and Hazel Lambert Tingler. On October 3, 1951 she was married to Virgil S. Hart who preceded her in death. She is survived by two sons, Calvin Hart of Hazelwood, Hugh Hart and wife Chrissy of Duquesne, PA and one daughter, Regina Hart Stickland of Goldsboro, NC. Two grandsons, Stewart and Charles Whiteman and great granddaughters, Stormie Hatem, Krianna, Lilyanna, and Alana Whiteman, all of Goldsboro, NC. Also surviving is one sister, Mary L. Kerns of Belington and one brother, Frank Tingler of Glady. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Ina Lea Taylor, a brother Harry Tingler and infant brother Floyd Tingler. Luella was a 1946 graduate of Elkins High School, a homemaker and had been very active in organizations throughout the community. She was a member, Past President and received her fifty year pin from the Hazelwood Homemakers. She was also a member of the Randolph Rebekah Lodge No. 200 of Beverly where she obtained her fifty year pin, Past District Deputy President of District No. 14 of Rebekah Assembly of WV and a member of the Randolph County CEOS for over fifty years. She was Past Matron and fifty year pin recipient of Randolph Chapter No. 74, Order of the Eastern Star and Past Worthy High Priestess of Alpha Shrine No. 19, Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem. She was a member of the Past Matron and Past Noble Grand Clubs, charter member of Tygart’s Valley Club of ISIS Court, No. 1, L.O.S.N.A. of Wheeling, Pilgrim Commandery No. 21, Barbara LAPM No. 1, charter member and past President of the William Ewing Encampment No. 55, L.E.A. and charter member of the Lady Templers. She was also a member of the Valley Bend Presbyterian Church. Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, January 23, 2020 from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Bernard Teter and Pastor Ann Fretwell officiating. Interment will follow in the Hazelwood Cemetery near Beverly. In Lieu of Flowers, the family has suggested that memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1002 So. Crim Avenue, Belington, WV 26250 in memory of Luella. The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Luella E. Hart.
