Marguerite Daniels Taylor, age 98 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away late Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Caring Manor, Buckhannon, WV. She was born June 11, 1920 in Junior, the daughter of the late William L. Daniels and Lola Goddin Daniels. She attended the schools of Randolph County and graduated from Elkins High School in 1938. She was employed in several offices in the Elkins area and retired from Columbia Gas Company in 1957 after twelve years of service. On October 18, 1957 she was married to William B. Taylor who preceded her in death November 22, 2005. She is survived by one nephew, Edward “Bud” Clingerman and wife Terry of Volga, WV, one step-grandson, Scott Taylor of Daytona Beach, FL, two step-granddaughters, Rebecca Philippi and husband Tom of Montgomery, TX and Kimberly LaBarre and husband Jim of South Charleston, OH and five step-great-grandchildren. Also preceding her in death was one sister, Marie D. Ashe and one step-granddaughter, Deborah Taylor and two step-daughters-in-laws, Constance and Shirley Taylor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Elkins since 1937 and a member of the Jenny L. Dailey Sunday School Class of the church. She will be greatly missed by The Caring Manor Family and her dog Copper. Friends may call from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor L. Scott Hamby officiating. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery in Elkins. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Elkins, 412 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV in memory of Mrs. Taylor.
