Mary L. Kerns

November 8, 1933 - January 26, 2021

Mary L. Kerns, age 87 years, formerly of Glady, WV and a resident of Belington, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at United Hospital Center, Bridgeport, WV. She was born November 8, 1933 at Glady, a daughter of the late Harry Lewis and Hazel Lambert Tingler. She is survived by one daughter, Kimberly Taylor and husband Howard of Lexington, KY, and four grandchildren, Amelia Maddox, Virginia Beach, VA, Petty Officer 2nd Class United States Navy, Chad Taylor, San Diego, CA, Jacob Taylor, Richmond, KY and Rebekah Taylor of Bowling Green, KY. Also preceding her in death were one son, Lewis Jerome Kerns and one brother, Frank Tingler. Mary was a graduate of Elkins High School and a member of the Alpena Church of God. She was employed for many years as a seamstress at Reidbord Brothers prior to her retirement. Friends may call from 9:00 am until 11:00 am Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am Saturday from the funeral home chapel. Masks and social distancing is required for anyone attending the services. Interment will follow in the Maplewood Cemetery.
