Mary T. Welch, age 83 years, a resident of Elkins, passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at her home. She was born May 3, 1934 at Coalton, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Bessie Simmons Shannon. On April 29, 1954 she married Charles F. Welch, Sr., who survives in Elkins. Also surviving is one son, Charles “Chuck” Welch, Jr. of Belington; three daughters , Teri Petry and husband Terry of Painesville, OH, Vickie Patrick of Ellerslie, GA. and Tina Corcoran and husband Matt of Elkins. One sister, Betty, Madison, OH, fifteen grandchildren, Aaron, Sean, Ashely, Jennifer, Sarah, Jessica, Laura, Joshua, Chelsea, Amber, Mike, Collin, Hannah, Alexandra and Shyanne and twelve great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Welch attended the schools of Randolph County and was a homemaker. She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Friday, November 3, 2017 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 4th from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Mike House officiating. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery at Kingsville, WV.
