Naomi Sue Summerfield

December 19, 1943 - January 30, 2021

Naomi Sue Summerfield, age 77 years, a resident of Belington, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon, January 30, 2021 at her home. She was born December 19, 1943 in Tucker County, a daughter of the late Cecil and Ada Bennett Slaubaugh. She was married to Gary Summerfield who preceded her in death. Surviving are her children, Connie Summerfield and Jennifer Brown both of Elkins, James “Billy” and Becky Summerfield, Akron, OH, Patricia Summerfield, Morris, IL, Brian and Chrissy Maxwell of Belington, WV. Two brothers, Edward and James Slaubaugh both of Montrose, WV; a sister, Catherine Simmons of Belington, WV; sixteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and extended family, Jeffrey McLaughlin, Brenda Carpenter, Joyce Myers and their families also survive. Also preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were two sisters, Helen Kisner and Linda Snyder. Naomi was a homemaker and attended the Light of Christ Church in Belington. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, February 5, 2021 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday from the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jim Tallman officiating. Masks and social distancing will be required for everyone attending the services.
