    Randall "Randy" Watson

    Randall E. “Randy” Watson, age 67 years, a resident of Belington, passed away Friday, September 27, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. He was born March 21, 1952 in Elkins a son of the late Lewis Earl Watson and the late Elda “Sammie” Armstrong Watson. On April 17, 1976 at Cassity, WV he was married to Brenda Darlene Currence Watson who preceded him in death on December 24, 1997. Surviving are two sons, Brian Randall Watson of Belington and Randall “Brent” Bennett and Mary of Erie, PA. Two daughters, Leslie Darlene Arbogast and Sparky of Elkins, Julie Ann Schutte and Rick of Erie, PA; grandchildren, Morgan, Ryan, Macee, Layla, Anthony, Bethany, Ryan, Zack and Nicholas; two sisters, Sharon Ann Blankenship and Mark, Beverly, WV, Sandra Kay Watson and Terri of Elkins, two brothers, Edward Lewis Watson and Wendi, Philippi, WV and David Allen Watson and Darlene of Elkins; one uncle, Cecil “June” Armstrong and several cousins as well as his mother-in-law, Rella Arbogast also survive. Also preceding him in death was his father-in-law, Loren R. Currence. Randy attended the schools of Randolph County and was a Veteran of the Army National Guard. Randall was employed as a Case Manager at the Randolph County Homeless Shelter prior to becoming disabled. He was a loving father, grandpa and brother and loved joking and spending time with his family and friends. Friends may call from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm Wednesday, October 2, 2019 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm Wednesday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. Stella Faye Moyer officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hemlock, WV. Full military honors will be accorded at the gravesite by members of the West Virginia National Guard Honor Guard Program, H. W. Daniels Post 29 American Legion and Tygart Valley Post 3647 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Memorial Contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, West Virginia Affiliate, 1221-A Ohio Avenue, PO Box 1115, Dunbar, WV 25064 in memory of Randy.
