Robert “Bob” Dale Lower age 79 years, a resident of Huttonsville, passed away Sunday evening, January 16, 2022 at his home. He was born July 14, 1942 in Elkins, a son of the late Burley and Beulah Lloyd Lower. On August 30, 1967 at Huttonsville, he married Rella Jane Scott Lower who survives at Huttonsville. Also surviving are two sons, Leon Lower of Mill Creek and Jason Shamblin at home; two daughters, Chrystal Hoffman of East Dailey and Kim Cutright of Mill Creek. One sister, Jean Gorman of Shinnston, WV, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren also survive. Also preceding him in death were one sister, Betty Guy, three brothers, Bill Lower, Emerson Wamsley and Doyle Lower and a granddaughter, Kayla Hoffman. Bob attended the schools of Randolph County and was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was employed as a Coal Miner for Marson Coal prior to becoming disabled. He enjoyed the outdoors. Friends may call from 10:00 am until 11:00 am Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Friday from the funeral home chapel with Rev. William “Wink” Lanham and Rev. Randy Long officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery at Hemlock, WV.
