    October 8, 1963 - February 15, 2020

Timothy C. “Tim” Armentrout, age 56 years, a resident of Parkersburg, WV died peacefully with his family by his side on Saturday, February 15, 2020 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tim was born on October 8, 1963 to William S. Armentrout of Elkins and the late Frances Chewning Armentrout. He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Joyce Hendricks Armentrout and the proud father of two daughters, who he loved more than life, daughter Katelyn Walkup (Jon Walkup) of Wadsworth, Ohio and daughter Amy Armentrout Walton of Morgantown, WV. Also surviving is one brother, Mark S. Armentrout of Centreville, VA. Tim was the beloved grandfather of Jonah and Eli Walkup and the proud uncle to many nieces and nephews. Also preceding him in death was his infant brother Gregory Armentrout and sister Teresa L. Armentrout. While raising his family, Tim’s career took them to North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Louisiana, and back to Almost Heaven, WV. Throughout his life, Tim loved going to WVU sporting events, fishing and hunting in his hometown of Elkins, and taking trips with his family. He loved all animals, especially the family dogs throughout the years. Tim was a dear friend to all, and always wanted to give what he could to those around him. Overall, Tim was a devoted husband and father who was always there for his family. The family would like to thank the staff of Cedar Grove Assisted Living Facility and Amedisys Hospice for their unending care and love for Tim. Friends may call from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, February 18, 2020 and 11:00 am until 12:00 pm Wednesday, February 19th at the Tomblyn Funeral Home in Elkins. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home chapel with Pastor Larry Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Elkins Memorial Gardens on the Country Club Road, Elkins. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for friends and family to donate to Whispering Grace Horses, 12882 Kimmens Rd SW, Massillon, OH 44647 and/or Amedisys Hospice Foundation, 2200 Grand Central Ave, Suite 102, Vienna, WV 26105 in memory of Tim.
